About The Position

Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses as part of a collaborative nursing team. The PCT provides hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role includes assisting with patients’ daily needs, helping RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contributing to patient comfort, dignity, and recovery.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), education in lieu of a credential, or a certificate must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
