About The Position

Centerpoint Health – Winchester is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician for its Medical Surgical Unit. The position is scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts each week. Under the supervision of an RN, the technician performs basic patient care activities and helps provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care. The role works alongside nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary care teams in a collaborative inpatient environment serving patients recovering from illness, injury, and surgical procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Handle with Care certification required within 30 days of hire and annually.

Nice To Haves

SRNA or EMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform basic patient care activities under the supervision of an RN.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
Support nurses with basic patient care tasks and clinical procedures as directed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Interact compassionately with patients, promote comfort, and address basic needs.
