About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of professional staff to assist with patient care and provide support to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This position is in Cardiology at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. The listed hours and days vary; the posting identifies the work shift as 12X3 Night.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following: one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility; graduation from a certified nursing assistant program; graduation from a Certified Medical Assistant program; documentation of completion of the first semester of a nursing program; documented military experience as a medic or corpsman; foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the United States; or EMT certification/paramedic license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
