About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of professional staff and assists with patient care to support patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This position is in Cardiology and is listed as full-time, days, although the work shift is also listed as 12X3 Night. Hours and days of work vary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility, or graduation from a certified nursing assistant program, or completion of a certified Medical Assistant program, or nursing-student status with documentation of completion of the first semester of a nursing program, or documented military experience as a medic/corpsman, or foreign nursing graduate status without a current U.S. Registered Nurse license, or EMT certification/paramedic license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
