About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of professional staff and assists with patient care, providing support to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This position is in Cardiology and is listed as full-time days, with hours and days of work varying.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet at least one of the following experience or training pathways: one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility; graduation from a certified nursing assistant program; completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program; nursing student with documented completion of the first semester of a nursing program; documented military experience as a medic or corpsman; foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S.; or EMT certification/paramedic license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
