About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The PCT carries out activities within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties must be performed consistently with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position.
- Carry out job duties consistently with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
