About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The PCT performs duties within the limits of the position and does not administer medications or therapy or assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties are carried out consistently with PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position.
- Provide accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Follow PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Do not administer medications or therapy or assume independent responsibility for patient care.
