About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The technician performs duties within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties are carried out consistently with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position.
- Do not administer medications or therapy or assume independent responsibility for patient care.
- Carry out job duties in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
