About The Position
Join the team as a full-time, night-shift Intermediate Care - Stepdown (IMC) Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Amarillo, Texas. This is an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision. The role supports patients with daily activities, monitors and reports patient progress, obtains and records vital signs, and collects specimens for laboratory tests. Requirements
- Must have completed some high school education.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
- Completion of High School PCT competencies.
- Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).
Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under nursing supervision.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
- Observe patients’ progress and prepare and share reports with the Nurse.
- Obtain and record patients’ vital signs.
- Collect specimens for laboratory tests.
