About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the collaborative nursing team who supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists patients with daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans. Through attention, empathy, and teamwork, the PCT helps restore patients’ comfort and dignity.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year of PCT experience or direct patient care experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
