About The Position

Patient Care Technicians provide high-quality care to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The role monitors patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs, initiating cannulation, observing patients, and setting up hemodialysis machines. It calls for technical skills and a genuine passion for developing strong patient relationships and improving quality of life. This position assists multiple clinics in the region.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A desire to care for people and comfort working around blood and needles.
• Previous dialysis experience.
• Experienced PCTs must have current certification from BONENT, NNCC, NNCO, or, if applicable, another state-approved certification.
• Experienced PCTs must have current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
• Measure and record patient statistics.
• Initiate cannulation.
• Observe patients during treatment.
• Set up hemodialysis machines.
• Assist multiple clinics in the region.
