About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff. The role supports patients with daily activities, monitors and reports patient progress, obtains and records vital signs, collects specimens for laboratory tests, and provides patient transport and housekeeping support. This is a full-time, day-shift position in the Cardiac Interventional Unit in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in acute or long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
- Observe patients’ progress and prepare and share reports with a Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
- Obtain and record patients’ vital signs.
- Collect specimens for laboratory tests.
- Provide basic patient transport.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
