About The Position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff. The role is in the Cardiac Interventional Unit at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the night shift and is full-time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in acute or long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
- Observe patients’ progress and prepare and share reports with a Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
- Obtain and record patients’ vital signs.
- Collect specimens for laboratory tests.
- Provide basic patient transport.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
