Patient Care Technician, Full Time, Night Shift
About The Position
Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Medicine Unit. The Patient Care Technician is an unlicensed staff member who works under the direct supervision of a professional nurse and is accountable for implementing delegated aspects of nursing care. The position is full time on the night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, in Hampton, Virginia. The Medicine Unit cares for adult acute and chronic care patients with a variety of comorbidities, including a senior patient population. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Meet at least one of the following qualifications: graduate of the Sentara Care Partner Certification Program; successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) program; completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School; completion of emergency services training as an EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic; current enrollment in a clinical program after completing at least one semester of RN, LPN, RT, or PT studies; or PCT or Nursing Assistant work experience within the last three years.
