Patient Care Technician - CPEP - Night Shift
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician delivers direct patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and performs tasks that do not require nursing judgment or medication administration. Duties include phlebotomy and EKG. The technician is accountable for the patient care they deliver and adheres to St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center standards of care and practice. This is a full-time night-shift position. The schedule includes working every other weekend and holiday. Initial training takes place during the day shift. The work is performed in an office/clinical setting, with Exposure Class I. The role involves heavy work, including standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Current BLS/CPR certification; First Aid training is provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

- Participate in orientation and continuing education, and maintain knowledge and skills related to areas of expertise.
- Complete annual population-specific competency requirements for populations served, as identified in the scope of care and service.
