About The Position

The Patient Care Technician supports patient health outcomes in a dynamic hospital role covering basic nursing care, patient transportation, and clerical functions. The position develops age-appropriate nursing care expertise and clerical and communication skills while collaborating with healthcare practitioners and registered nurses to support patient care and services. The role serves patients from diverse ethnic and social groups.

Requirements

• Nursing Assistant certification or licensure.
• Medical Assistant-Registered certification eligibility; apply within seven days of hire and obtain the certification within 60 days of hire.
• A Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R.
• Current BLS certification.
• Recent bedside care experience in a healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
