PCT, Patient Care Technician - Acute Med/Surg

About The Position
Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and helps ensure patient safety and well-being. The role includes assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring and documenting vital signs, and supporting nurses or doctors with patient care and medical procedures. The position is PRN and per diem as needed.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Answer patient calls and help patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Feed patients and measure and record their food and liquid intake.
- Monitor and document patients’ temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs; report changes to nurses or doctors.
- Assist nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
