About The Position

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our Surgery Oncology Unit, you'll be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing surgery and cancer treatment. Working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll provide hands-on support that enhances patient comfort, safety, and recovery.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire
• Successful completion of PCT classes as required by the care center/unit

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
• Supporting mobility, ambulation, repositioning, and transfers to promote healing and independence
• Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting observations to the care team
• Accurately documenting patient information in medical records
• Providing compassionate emotional support to patients and families during important moments in their care journey
