Patient Care Technician - Rehab Nursing, Nights
About The Position
Good Samaritan is seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated Patient Care Technicians to join their Rehab Nursing team, working nights. This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, collecting and documenting patient data, and maintaining high patient and family satisfaction by providing individualized care. The technician will also be responsible for evaluating the quality and effectiveness of their assigned duties, assessing their own nursing practice, acquiring and maintaining current knowledge, interacting with and contributing to the development of peers, delivering care in a nonjudgmental and culturally competent manner, and collaborating with clients, families, and healthcare providers. Effective communication with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals is essential. Secondary duties may include supporting the ordering process, assisting with the electronic medical record, greeting and assisting guests, and ordering department supplies responsibly.

- Assists the patients with activities of daily living.
- Assists the healthcare team by collecting, reporting, and documenting patient data.
- Maintains high patient and family satisfaction by providing care that is based upon individual needs.
- Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of assigned duties throughout the unit.
- Evaluates own nursing practice in relation to standards and regulations.
- Acquires and maintains current knowledge of assigned duties.
- Interacts with, and contributes to, the development of peers.
- Delivers care in a nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory, sensitive, and culturally competent manner.
- Collaborates with the client, family members, significant others, and health care providers in providing care.
- Communicates effectively with clients, families, and other health care professionals.
- Supportive of ordering process when needed.
- Assists with maintaining the electronic medical record.
- Greets and assists guests to provide information and access to appropriate resources.
- Assists with ordering supplies for the department while being fiscally responsible.
