As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Neuro Surgical Unit at Deaconess Gateway's Orthopedic and Neuroscience Hospital, you'll be an essential member of a collaborative team providing specialized care to patients with neurological and neurosurgical needs. What You'll Do Working closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team, you'll provide hands-on support that promotes patient comfort, safety, and recovery. Responsibilities include: * Assisting patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes * Supporting patient mobility, repositioning, transfers, and ambulation * Monitoring and documenting vital signs and patient observations * Accurately recording important information in patient charts * Providing compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families throughout their treatment and recovery * Contributing to a safe, positive, and patient-centered care environment Every day offers opportunities to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while expanding your healthcare knowledge and experience. Why You'll Love This Unit The Neuro Surgical Unit is a 32-bed inpatient department with an additional 5-bed short-stay pod located within the Orthopedic and Neuroscience Hospital at Deaconess Gateway. Team members care for a diverse patient population, providing exposure to both neurosurgical and neurological conditions in a highly specialized environment. Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire
