About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician II, you will support nurses and provide patient care. The role includes direct technical care, assistance with personal hygiene and dietary needs, and duties that may vary by area or shift. Medication management may also be part of the work. The position is located at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock and is scheduled for full-time nights.
Requirements
- Completion of a high school diploma or GED.
- Less than one year of professional experience.
- BLS certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- Demonstrate empathy and dedication in patient care.
- Communicate thoughts and ideas effectively with patients and colleagues, verbally and in writing.
- Maintain a positive spirit to support patient health and morale.
- Work cooperatively and respectfully with other healthcare practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Provide direct technical care to patients.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and dietary requirements.
- Manage medications when applicable to the area or shift.
