About The Position
The Patient Care Technician I is responsible for assisting doctors and nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met, including tasks like feeding, cleaning, and monitoring vital signs and health. Responsibilities
- Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
- Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
- Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
- Performs post mortem care
- Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
- Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
- Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
- Other related duties as assigned.
