About The Position
Responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems utilizing knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.
Requirements
- Knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings and job specifications for HVAC work.
- Advanced knowledge of function/family and department.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems, including filters, belts, motors and coils.
- Install new HVAC equipment and ductwork following specifications and building codes.
- Perform air and water balancing of HVAC systems to ensure proper distribution.
- Maintain proper temperature, humidity and air changes in the ORs, isolation rooms, labs, pharmacies and clean rooms.
- Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, including thermostats, air handlers, exhaust systems and split systems.
- Monitor HVAC systems and report alarms or irregularities to shop supervisor.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings and job specification for HVAC work.
- Functional mentor to lower-level Team members; possesses advanced knowledge of function/family and department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
