About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Cardiac Stepdown department at Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time and operates on a day shift schedule. The technician will be responsible for aiding patients with movement and placement, assisting with personal care and daily living activities, reporting patient condition changes to nursing staff, documenting necessary records, and maintaining patient rooms and medical equipment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

Aid with movement and placement of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Document necessary records.
Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
