About The Position

The Patient Care Technician works under the supervision of a Nurse Leader and performs specific duties that support patient care. The role includes direct and indirect patient care activities that help maintain a safe and efficient care environment. The technician performs selected interventions and activities to provide comprehensive care in accordance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. Working with the care team, the technician also helps ensure a positive patient experience. This position operates in a high-activity environment with multiple priorities and requires flexibility in scheduling. Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder based on experience, skillsets, and certifications.

Requirements

No experience required; on-site training is provided.
Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation.
Obtain an American Heart Association (AHA) Certified BLS Provider credential within 60 days of hire or job transfer.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Some relevant experience in an acute-care hospital environment.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certified BLS Provider credential.
Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA for eligibility for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
