About The Position

Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists the professional or licensed nurse, as delegated, with tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside report and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.

The role relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines, works under immediate supervision, and typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT certificate.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, and health care team members.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique, and infection control best practices.
• EKG training in selected units.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
