About The Position

Join the team as a part-time, day-shift Medical Surgical Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The PCT works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to provide patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living, observation and reporting, vital-sign collection, specimen collection, transport, housekeeping, intake and output measurement, range-of-motion assistance, and blood draws. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification program, or current enrollment in nursing school.
Two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
Observe patients’ progress and prepare and share reports with a Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
Obtain and record patients’ vital signs and collect specimens for laboratory tests.
Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Measure and record patients’ intake and output and other measurements according to unit routines.
Assist patients with range of motion.
Draw blood.
