About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of a collaborative nursing team who supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists with daily patient needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans. Through attention, empathy, and teamwork, the PCT helps promote patient comfort, dignity, and recovery.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 15 days of employment start date.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
