About The Position

The Patient Care Tech provides hands-on, personal care to patients in a post-operative and oncology medical/surgical setting. The role supports nursing care by helping gather information about patients’ conditions, attending to hygiene, nutrition, and personal-care needs, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The position also includes regular patient rounding, teamwork, and ongoing learning and career development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with appropriate work experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• One year of clinical care experience.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or PCT experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting assessment data as assigned, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, and intake and output.
• Assist with patient hygiene, nutrition, personal care needs, and patient-related tasks.
• Maintain and advocate for a safe environment.
• Maintain a clean environment in the patient care area.
• Complete patient rounding according to patient assignments and schedule to support patient satisfaction and safety.
• Enhance knowledge and seek career-development opportunities.
• Embrace teamwork and direction in performing duties.
