About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team providing direct care to behavioral health patients under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse, either in person or by telephone. The role focuses on direct patient care as directed and delegated by the RN, Lead PCT, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager. The PCT is also responsible for the safety of the assigned unit, including identifying environmental and patient-specific safety concerns and elevating them to the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee as needed. Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency serving people throughout Arizona. Its programs include residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services for individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI describes itself as a nonprofit provider of substance use and behavioral health programs, including prevention, education, and treatment using evidence-based models.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of healthcare-related experience providing adequate exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher.
At least 6 months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to behavioral health patients as directed and delegated by the RN, Lead PCT, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager.
Help maintain the safety of the assigned unit by identifying environmental and patient-specific safety concerns.
Elevate safety concerns to the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee as needed.
