About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs basic patient care services and supports activities within ambulatory services. This multi-skilled role provides expanded services under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional. The clinic welcomes candidates at all experience levels and seeks a self-motivated, independent, compassionate individual who can adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks. The position is on the Internal Medicine Clinic team, with day shifts only and no nights, weekends, holidays, or call.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers is required, or must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment.
• If working in North Dakota and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, register as a Nursing Assistant (NA) through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months of initial employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED).
• At least six months of experience.
• Experience in a clinic setting.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment and supplies.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Responsibilities

• Take patient vital signs.
• Room patients for providers.
• Clean and stock patient treatment rooms.
• Assist providers and the nursing team as needed.
