About The Position
The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care and essential clinical support to the PACU team. This role assists with monitoring vital signs, observing cardiac rhythms, patient transport, safety measures, and comfort during the recovery phase. The PCT documents care accurately in the electronic medical record, recognizes and reports changes in patient condition, and supports emergency response as needed. This position also helps maintain a safe, well‑stocked, and efficient PACU environment while promoting high‑quality post‑operative recovery.
Requirements
- Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate or California EMT
- BLS (must be through the American Heart Association)
- Six (6) months’ experience working as an EMT/CNA preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Basic dysrhythmia certification (preferred) or obtained within 6 months of hire
