About The Position

Join the team as a day-shift, full-time Emergency Room Patient Care Technician in Belton, Texas. This is an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff. The role performs PCT I duties, including helping patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating; observing patient progress and reporting it to a Registered Nurse or other medical staff; obtaining and recording vital signs; collecting specimens for laboratory tests; and providing basic patient transport and housekeeping.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED.
• One year of experience in acute or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
• Observe patient progress and prepare and communicate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients’ vital signs.
• Collect specimens for laboratory tests.
• Provide basic patient transport.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
