About The Position

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Oviedo Medical Center, you will support Registered Nurses as part of a collaborative nursing team. You will provide hands-on, non-medicated patient care and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role includes assisting patients with daily needs, helping nurses monitor conditions and carry out care plans, and supporting comfort, dignity, and recovery.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS); certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
