About The Position

This role is within the Adult Psychiatry department at Ascension Saint Thomas Stones River in Woodbury, TN. The position is full-time and operates on a night schedule. The Patient Care Tech will be responsible for assisting patients with their daily living activities, including movement, personal care, and reporting any changes in their condition to the nursing staff. They will also be responsible for maintaining patient rooms and medical equipment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

Aid with movement and placement of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Document necessary records.
Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
