About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists patients with daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans. Through attention, empathy, and teamwork, the PCT supports patient comfort, dignity, safety, and recovery.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
No experience required.
No travel required.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
