About The Position

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join the team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. The PCT assists patients with various injuries, illnesses, and disabilities while providing exceptional care. Care is provided according to hospital procedures and in a manner that protects patients’ safety and dignity. The role may also include secretarial tasks that support the flow of the unit.

This is a per diem position with 12-hour rotating shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification from the American Medical Association (AMA) or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Help assigned patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, fluid intake, elimination, bathing, and dressing.
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients as directed.
• Transport patients.
• Collect specimens.
• Distribute linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• Provide care according to hospital procedures while protecting patients’ safety and dignity.
• Perform secretarial tasks as needed to support the flow of the unit.
