Nursing Assistant - Med Surg - Per Diem Nights
About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, under the direct supervision of an RN. The role assists the RN with observation and care of patients in assigned areas and demonstrates proficiency in care for the assigned age-specific patient population, including infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics. The Nursing Assistant also participates in related continuing education. The position is per diem and works 12-hour night shifts. Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of training for Nursing Assistants.
- CNA certificate, graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD, or completion of an accredited Nursing Program).
- Upon hire, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
