About The Position
The Patient Care Tech provides support services to help ensure continuity of care and meet department goals as directed by the health care team. The role includes caring for patients’ personal needs and comfort, assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, skin care, and use of equipment, and completing delegated clinical and administrative tasks within the scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel. The Patient Care Tech collaborates effectively as part of the care team, floats to the area of greatest need, and monitors at-risk behavioral health patients. This is a designated Safety Sensitive Position under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. The posting states that an employee under the influence of marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers to whom Conway Regional provides and supports health care-related services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or higher education.
- Before working independently from a preceptor, successfully complete American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers training.
- Before working independently from a preceptor, successfully complete Point of Care Testing Equipment Orientation.
- Complete Crisis Prevention and Intervention/SAFE within 90 days.
Nice To Haves
- Basic keyboarding skills.
- Clinical experience or CNA experience.
