About The Position

Join Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a day-shift, PRN Emergency Room Patient Care Tech. Under moderate supervision from nursing and medical staff, the PCT supports patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, observing and reporting patient progress, recording vital signs and measurements, collecting specimens, drawing blood, helping with range of motion, and providing patient transport and housekeeping support. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification program, or current enrollment in nursing school.
Two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living.
Observe patients’ progress and prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
Obtain and record patients’ vital signs.
Collect specimens for laboratory tests.
Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Measure and record patients’ intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines.
Assist patients with range of motion.
Draw blood.
