About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is hiring a Patient Care Tech/Unit Secretary for our Post Surgical Unit! This is a PRN position. Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is a joint venture between Tenet Healthcare, USPI, and the Baylor Scott & White network, serving the Fort Worth community since 2014. The hospital offers a wide spectrum of medical services including an Emergency Department, a 30-bed inpatient unit, a 4-bed intensive care unit, and diagnostic imaging facilities. It is equipped with 14 state-of-the-art operating rooms and offers services in specialties such as ENT, Bariatric, Pulmonary, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Spine, and Craniotomy. The hospital emphasizes a quality-centric approach to patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Certified Nurse Assistant Certification, or equivalent
- BLS Required
- Minimum 1-year experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Previous experience Electronic Healthcare Record helpful
- Good communication and people skills
- Excellent clinical skills appropriate for a medical assistant, nursing assistant or patient care tech
- Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.
Responsibilities
- Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
- Performs clinical duties, under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing iv catheters, etc.
- Cleans rooms if needed.
- Assists RN’s as instructed.
- Any other duties as instructed by supervisor.
