About The Position

Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to patients’ personal needs and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists professional or licensed nurses, as delegated, with tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside reports and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.

This patient care support role provides essential assistance and comfort to patients to support their healthcare experience. The position is at Abrazo Scottsdale Campus, a full-service acute care hospital offering specialized services, orthopedic care, sports medicine, outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, and emergency care.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT certificate.
• EKG training in selected units.
• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique, and infection control best practices.

Nice To Haves

• CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
