About The Position

Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to patients’ personal needs and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists professional or licensed nurses, as delegated, with tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside reports and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives. Works from instructions and established guidelines under immediate supervision and typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT certificate.
• EKG training in selected units.
• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting positively and effectively with patients, visitors, and health care team members.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique, and infection control best practices.

Nice To Haves

• CNA/LNA certification or licensure from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
