About The Position

The Patient Care Tech provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to patients’ personal needs and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role assists professional or licensed nurses, as delegated, with tasks requiring less technical skills; participates in shift and bedside report; and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives. The position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines, works under immediate supervision, and typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

At Abrazo Scottsdale Campus, the Patient Care Tech is part of a patient care support team focused on providing compassionate assistance and comfort throughout patients’ healthcare journeys.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT certificate.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique, and infection-control best practices.
• EKG training in selected units.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
