Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. A Patient Care Technician works alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting by improving patient satisfaction and influencing patient throughput.
Requirements
- Prior experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures.
- 6 months in an Acute Care hospital setting.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Patient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificate.
- Cardiac Credentialing International Certification a plus.
- EKG and Phlebotomy certifications/certificates.
