About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Med Surg department at All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI. The position is part-time, scheduled for weekends. The primary responsibilities include accurately documenting patient care and observations, assisting patients with personal care and daily living activities, communicating changes in patient status to nursing staff, and maintaining a safe and organized patient care environment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Document patient care journeys and essential observations accurately, ensuring high-quality and complete medical records for the care team.
• Support patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living to maintain their comfort and promote a sense of dignity.
• Communicate any crucial changes in a patient's physical, mental, or emotional status to the nursing staff, enabling immediate and timely clinical intervention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment, including room tidiness and ensuring medical equipment is ready to support efficient care delivery.
