About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Med Surg department at All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI. The position is full-time and works nights. The primary responsibilities include documenting patient care, assisting patients with personal care and daily living activities, communicating changes in patient status to nursing staff, and maintaining a safe and clean patient care environment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Document patient care journeys and essential observations accurately, ensuring high-quality and complete medical records for the care team.
• Support patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living to maintain their comfort and promote a sense of dignity.
• Communicate any crucial changes in a patient's physical, mental, or emotional status to the nursing staff, enabling immediate and timely clinical intervention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment, including room tidiness and ensuring medical equipment is ready to support efficient care delivery.
