About The Position

This role involves delivering compassionate, direct patient care and assisting with daily living activities to enhance patient comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. The Patient Care Tech will support safe patient mobility and transitions, assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure a seamless care experience. They will communicate key observations and changes in physical or emotional condition promptly to the nursing team to facilitate timely clinical interventions. Additionally, the role requires accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities to support the care team and maintain reliable records, as well as maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe patient environment while keeping medical equipment and supplies ready for immediate clinical use.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
