About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Med Surg department at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The position is full-time, day shift. The primary responsibilities include performing supervised clinical and non-clinical care, assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition, documenting patient records, and maintaining patient rooms and equipment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Perform supervised clinical and non-clinical care, including patient entry, exit, and assistance with activities of daily living.
Monitor and report changes in patient physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
Document necessary patient records accurately.
Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is functional.
