About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Med Surg department at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The position is PRN (as needed). The Patient Care Tech will perform supervised clinical and non-clinical care, including patient entry, exit, and assistance with activities of daily living. They will monitor and report changes in patient physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff, document necessary patient records accurately, and maintain clean, orderly patient rooms while ensuring medical equipment is functional.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
